Dream Machine explores how subconscious thought reacts to the physical world surrounding sleep. The piece makes use of recorded disruptive sounds from an urban neighborhood at night juxtaposed with moments of silence. Reflecting on each night's sleep, the viewer clicks through a series of dreamlike images, enhancing both ethereal dream scenes with contrasting, distressing nightmares.
By clicking on images, you may navigate through the experience to wherever your curiosity leads you. Audio recordings invite you wonder about the viewer's immediate surroundings and how they affect a personal life in unusual ways. Silent pages allow the viewer to become tuned-in to the ambient sound in their current environment.
